Cost Saving Tips
DFDS Seaways (formerly Norfolkline) offer the very best value crossing to France from Dover to Dunkerque. For the best deal choose to travel outward on a Sunday and inward on a Friday. This can be at any time of year (i.e. including high season) and at any sailing time. Saturday sailings are also available at the same price if driving a motorhome or towing a caravan. Unfortunately Saturdays are a little more expensive if travelling with a car only.
DFDS charge a small supplement for caravans over 7m long and for motorhomes over 8m.

Cost Saving Tips
We are delighted to be able to offer FREE CARAVANS on many routes - an offer which is NOT AVAILABLE direct from Brittany Ferries. To qualify you need to select specific sailings during low season (a half price caravan offer applies in high season).
Sailings with the lowest prices are generally those that arrive late from the UK or leave early from France. Free caravans are available on the following sailings:
From the UK (1/1/11 - 31/5/12, 3/6/12 - 18/7/12, 19/8/12 - 31/12/12)
Portsmouth - Caen: 14:15
Plymouth - Roscoff: all departures
From France (1/1/12 - 8/6/12, 12/6/12 - 27/7/12, 3/9/12 - 31/12/12)
Caen - Portsmouth: 08:30
St Malo - Portsmouth: 10:30
Roscoff - Plymouth: all departures

Cost Saving Tips
Dover - Calais
Although generally a little more expensive than DFDS, P&O may offer better value if towing a long caravan or driving a long motorhome. There are no 'over-length' supplements for long outfits.
For the best fares travel off peak on the following sailings:
Outward: 14:01 to 06:00
Inward: 00:00 to 14:00
Try to avoid weekend travel in high season (outward: 1-2 June and 20/7-25/8, inward: 9-10 Jun and 28/7-1/9).
Hull - Rotterdam/Zeebrugge
P&O are offering FREE CARAVANS and MOTORHOMES PRICED AS CARS on these routes but you must travel outward and inward on a Saturday or Sunday. Fares on other days of the week are substantially higher and the offer excludes the weekend of 6/7 April.

Cost Saving Tips

For the best fares travel off peak on the following sailings:
Outward: 14:01 to 07:00
Inward: 21:01 to 14:59
Try to avoid weekend travel in high season (outward: 1-2 June and 20/7-25/8, inward: 9-10 Jun and 28/7-2/9).

Cost Saving Tips
